However, the reality of an aesthetic journey is quite different. A procedure does not begin on the day of the operation, nor does it end when the patient leaves the clinic. It is part of a longer, more subtle, more demanding time: the perioperative period. A time of preparation, adjustment, recovery and repair. Mila herself underwent cosmetic surgery. And like many women before her, she found herself facing a rarely articulated paradox: being surrounded during her procedure, then suddenly alone once discharged. Alone with the pain, alone with the doubts, alone with the questions that arise when the body changes faster than the mind can process it.
Alone also in the face of the very real void that still exists in so many journeys: few landmarks, few explanations, few reliable contacts, and almost no support truly designed for this crucial phase.
This observation became even more evident when observing patients operated on abroad, returning home without harmonized follow-up, without continuity of care, sometimes without a contact person capable of understanding what they were going through.
It is this promise, intimate at the beginning, that gradually gave birth to a much larger ecosystem that is now a pioneer and leader in the perioperative sector.
METCARE®: restores a clear structure
For over 17 years, METCARE® has been developing on-the-ground expertise in aesthetic surgery and its follow-up, both in France and internationally.
